Cascade House is an Italianate Victorian home built in 1850 found in the heart of the Fingerlakes region of New York. Originally the private residence of Adrian Tuttle, the home and property became a residence for US salt’s CEOs from the 1920’s til the early 1970’s.
US Salt sold the property back to the private market and after a few families came and and went, it became the home of Cascata Winery & The Professors Place B&B. when the winery and bed and breakfast closed in 2010, the property exchanged hands until we purchased it in 2023.
We are the Nicholson family. Originally born and raised in northern New Jersey, we were “that” family that sold everything during the covid pandemic and spent time traveling internationally. When we found ourselves back stateside - we discovered this home and decided to put down roots in Watkins Glen on Seneca Lake after years of visiting the area.
it has been a labor of love bringing the property back to its old glory, center for community, and place of peace.
The property now features the Cascade House, The Nest Apartment, & 2 unique small home Villas [ Villa Lotus & Villa Sage ] amongst our small vineyard.
